When I first set out to find a new business I never imagined the time would come when the world would be so dramatically changed and so many people would suddenly find themselves in a similar situation to the one I was in, as a result of the last Financial Crisis.

If you're like me, you'll be a bit of a control freak concerning your own destiny. In over 20 years of working for myself, even though there were some tough times, the one thing I said I'd never do, is work for anyone else ever again.
In a world where there are going to be far fewer jobs, for a great number of people, learning skills that will make you self-sufficient, able to earn money in your sleep and work wherever you choose, whenever you choose, is, I think, a sensible way forward.
